DaySchool Training Packages

DaySchool Training is perfect for the dog with a skills-focused behavior plan, in need of a little jumpstart. As a professional trainer, I can come to your home and teach your dog specific cues in a structured and efficient way. However, dogs are not machines to be programmed. Your relationship with your dog and their daily routines are also powerful learning experiences that affect how your dog will respond in the future. In our transfer sessions, we will work together to practice each skill and ensure you have an understanding of overall dog behavior and training. We are a team, creating the best outcome for you and your dog.

Recall Remedy

Coming when called is a difficult skill. First, the dog must leave what they are already interested in and then come to you without getting distracted along the way. Recall is so important that it must be built in steady steps, from the ground up. Whether you have attempted to teach your dog to come and it fell apart or your dog never wanted to come in the first place, this program can help you and your dog create a reliable recall.

Your dog will learn…

  1. Attention (on cue and automatic)

  2. Hand Targeting

  3. Recall cue  (“come” or “here”) and recall building exercises

  4. Collar grabs (if needed)

In transfer sessions, we will also discuss….

  • How and when to use and not use your recall cue

  • Levels of difficulty in recall – distractions and motivations

  • How to continue to build and maintain a strong recall throughout your dog’s life

12-week program may include…

  • Additional distractions of increasing difficulty

  • New locations
