Life Skills Program
Day training for real life
Training a young dog can be time-consuming, and finding the consistency needed for success isn't always easy when you're balancing work, family, and everyday life. The Life Skills Program takes the pressure off by allowing a professional trainer to do the heavy lifting for you.
Over the course of six weeks, I will work one-on-one with your dog while you're at work, focusing on the life skills and behaviors included in your chosen training package. Every other week, we'll meet for a one-hour transfer session where I'll show you how to maintain and build upon your dog's new skills, ensuring that their training seamlessly becomes part of your daily life.
By the end of the program, you'll have a dog with stronger skills and a clear understanding of how to continue their progress with confidence.

The details
6 WEEK PROGRAM: $2,100
Dog ONLY: every Tuesday & Thursday
with Owner: every other Friday
This schedule is non-negotiable.
If you need more flexibility, please schedule an initial behavior consultation.
-
The Life Skills Program is intended to be the next step after puppy class. Dogs are typically between the ages of 5 months and 4 years. They should have an introduction to basic cues, such as sit and down.
This program is designed to teach specific skills only. I will not address any significant behavior problems such as anxiety, reactivity, or aggression. Please book a behavior consultation if you are experiencing a behavior problem.
-
During our initial Zoom call, we will schedule an introductory meeting at your home to meet your dog and go over details. Once the program has begun, I will meet with you every other Friday over the course of the 6 weeks. In these “transfer sessions” I will update you on your dog’s progress and give you homework to practice to shift the dog’s new skills to you.
Private training with your dog will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6 weeks. You do not need to be present for these sessions.
-
Training will take place in your house, yard, and neighborhood. You do not need to be home during training sessions, although you are welcome to be. If your dog needs to practice additional challenges or the area around your home is unsuitable for training, I will get permission before taking your dog anywhere by car.
Due to time restraints, the Life Skills Program is only available to clients within my service area.
-
Over 6 weeks, your dog will receive 12 private training sessions and we will meet 4 times for hour-long transfer sessions.
The total cost is $2,100.
Remember, dogs are not machines to be programmed. Your relationship with your dog and their daily routines are also powerful learning experiences that affect how your dog will respond in the future. Trainer and owner are a team, creating the best outcome for you and your dog.
The Life Skills Program is not intended to address behavior problems, such as anxiety, reactivity or aggression. For help with your dog’s behavior, please book an initial behavior consultation.
